The new Circuit bangalow was opened on 19.02.2022 under the patronage of the Hon. Chamal Rajapaksa, Minister of Irrigation and State Minister of Defense and Disaster Management and State Minister of Home Affairs, and many other distinguished guests.

The fee for translating marriage birth and death certificates has been increased to Rs. 600 as per Departmental Circular No. 13/2021 and please note that these amendments are effective from 01.06.2021.

A national level awareness program was conducted for the welfare benefits program to be implemented by the Welfare Benefits Board. This was done in conjunction with the District Secretaries' Conference chaired by the Prime Minister, where the Commissioner / Chairman of the Board B. Mr. Wijayaratne and others were briefed. This conference was held on August 24, 2022 at the Colombo District Secretariat.
